With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
I love flower crowns. A lot. Even before the Snapchat filter. I want them to be a thing forever. Not saying I wear one everyday lol but this is one trend I feel like I’ll always want to tap into and it’s not just because flower crowns are pretty.
Flower crowns have saved me on a few bad hair days, like that time my hair reverted IMMEDIATELY after blow drying it. The last time was a few weeks ago, for my parents’ thanksgiving service. The day before, I wore the chunky twist-out I blogged about in this post. Because it was a very hectic day, I just put my hair in 4 braids before bed and went to sleep.
The next morning, I woke up late and with little time to prepare, I had to think fast. I didn’t want to comb my hair into a big fro (my usual plan B). I didn’t want to comb it AT ALL. So, I focused on my makeup, loosened the braids and fluffed and puffed my hair into a puff. Then, I accessorised with a small flower crown- more of a hair tie really lol, so let’s call it a flower tiara. After holding my puff up with some ribbon, I put on the flower tiara and tucked its ends into my puff ribbon because my puff was too wide or the tiara too short, either way- it couldn’t go round.
It instantly switched up my “rough puff”, don’t you think? Let me know in the comments! 🙂 Maybe switch-up is an exaggeration (because duh, our kinks naturally slay on their own) BUT it was the perfect accessory. Having it there said “No, I did not forget to comb my hair. I like it like this. Thanks and God bless”. Get what I mean?
If you like my tiara, if you’d like full flower crowns, flower combs, even custom made ones for say, a bridal shower, you should contact @flowercrowns_byfifi on Instagram. I got this one from her, and a pink one too.
Are you a flower crown lover like me? Maybe you wouldn’t go all out with a crown, but a flower in your hair is fine? Or, are you tired and you wish all of this would just go away? Speak on it, pick a side in the comments! 🙂
P.S. Shoutout to my beautiful mama for these pictures!
