I did not put up this post to invite any dense comments about Amy’s troubles. If you got off your judgmental short-sighted high horse, you’d probably appreciate that Amy made beautiful music- honest, original, soulful, and true.
The third album from the awfully talented Amy Winehouse is out today, Lioness: Hidden Treasures.
This 12-track record has been put together by two of Amy’s long-time friends and musical partners Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson. It features previously unreleased music- Amy’s renditions of some classics, as well as new compilations by Amy, and the original versions of ‘Valerie’ and ‘Tears Dry’, both beautiful hits from her Back to Black album.
On Friday, I managed to find ‘Like Smoke’ (Nas is featured on this one), ‘Between the Cheats’, ‘Half-Time’ and her lovely reggae rendition of ‘Our Day Will Come’, and I’ve been so excited, I cannot wait to hear the rest of this album.
For the full tracklist, you could go directly to her site, here: http://www.amywinehouse.com/2011/10/lioness-hidden-treasures-announcement/
You could also watch the video for ‘Our Day Will Come’, you’re welcome.
Rest in Peace, Amy.
Love, Peace and Happiness to all
