How are we doing today? Getting ready for all the Christmas rocks? *wink wink*
Naturals in the City (NITC) is this Saturday, as in, TWO days away! Join us at Cafe Neo, 6 Agoro Odiyan street, Victoria Island, Lagos as we gather in the spirit of living better, more naturally. 12-6PM, we’ll be there. The later you come, the more you miss so you want to be on time!
In no particular order, allow me share reasons- just 5 reasons why you should come out to Naturals in the City on Saturday!
1. THE SHOPPING.
Oh, the shopping. Not your regular, around the way shopping tings. The NITC marketplace is the perfect place to finish up your Christmas gift hunt! Natural hair, bath and body products with a lot of heart poured into them, accessories, art, stationery and even toys for little ones. You’ll find something your mom, dad, aunty, uncle and baby cousin will love!
2. THE PEOPLE!
At Naturals in the City, everyone is welcome to kick it! It’s always good vibes all around, and it’s a great opportunity to meet someone new. (or 5)
If you have a little one, bring them too. They’ll be really happy you left them in the Crafties room to make stuff and play with glitter and the other kids, while you have yourself a good afternoon.
3. THE LEARNING
We are all about encouraging you live a healthier, more natural lifestyle. As usual, we will have talks and workshops. This time, our theme is “Head Into 2017 Strong!” and in line with this, I will be doing a workshop on effective goal setting for the new year. If you find it hard to stick to your resolutions, trust me, next year will be different. You can and you will, if you get the process right. Yass girl! (or boy)! I’m really looking forward to this. If you come late, you’ll miss it. Workshops happen first, before the talks.
4. THE GIVING
This Christmas, we are supporting “Christmas on the Streets”, a charity that makes sure kids in Makoko have a great Christmas. We did this last year, as in WE. You guys. Me. Us. We came out last year with so much love, I trust we can do it again on Saturday. Please come with donations of cash, food items, gently used children’s books and stationery. New, if you can. Nothing is too small. Whether it’s a Ziploc bag of rice or a bag of salt. Please let’s help Christmas on the Streets put a smile on many faces!
5. THE FOOD
Our very own celebrity chef, Kitchen Butterfly, mixer of flavours, pioneer of the New Nigerian Kitchen, first of her name
(long may she reign), will be in charge of stomach infrastructure. At some point between the learning and the shopping and the chit-chat with your new BFF, you are going to need to refuel, and she will be there for you. I am ready. She’s serving her glorious tapioca-coconut salad (amongst other things) and it will not pass me by!
I could say more, but this is okay for now. Just a teaser 😉
See you on Saturday! Come with a friend, or four!
