This Saturday: Naturals in the City 18

Naturals in the City, Lagos’ quarterly natural lifestyle meet-up is back this Saturday April 1st, 2017 and I am super excited about the conversations we will be having!

The theme for the meet-up is “Wholesome Living”. Here’s our speaker line-up in no particular order:
Is losing weight or being a buff ting one of your body goals for 2017? If so, let’s admit here and now that diet life is not sustainable. Keto, Cambridge, Hollywood etc etc. You know what works? What is better for your health, your body & your lifestyle overall? Developing a healthy relationship with food. Yes. Food is not the enemy. Life & food with Sabirah is very colourful and trust me, she won’t give you any struggle suggestions that will make you feel guilty for a minute. I’ve followed her lovely blog for years now & I trust her to do this justice! You don’t want to miss it!

Naija Vegan Chef will be talking about “Eliminating toxic chemicals from your home with natural alternatives”. We expose our bodies to a lot of chemicals in the regular course of our lives. I’m consciously trying to limit my exposure and I encourage you to do the same. I’m still a newbie so I really look forward to learning from Naija Vegan Chef!

Our resident hair guru, Yellow Sisi of the Yellow Sisi natural hair salon in Lekki, will be at NITC again, sharing the juice. This time, she’s talking about “Hair care hacks for a busy lifestyle” & I am looking forward to gaining a gem or 5. Yellow Sisi is always 100% real with her advice, so come ready to learn. No guilt, it’s a judgment free zone. You’re busy, you don’t have the time to baby your hair as you normally would, it’s okay to take short cuts. Yellow Sisi will be showing us the way!

In addition to the talk sessions, we are going to have a really diverse marketplace for you to shop from. We call it “meaningful shopping” because, our vendors are small businesses putting in great work, creating products you’ll love, most of which are made right here in Nigeria. You’ll love it, trust me!

Learning and shopping aside, NITC is a great opportunity to make friends. Everyone is quite lovely, so don’t have any anxiety. It’s going to be alright! Don’t be shy about coming on your own, but it’s even better to enjoy great experiences like NITC with people you love. Come with your friends. Your mom. Your Bae. Come with everybody. It doesn’t matter how you wear your hair, everyone is invited!

Access fee: 1000 naira at the door.

Date: 1st April 2017

Place: Cafe Neo, 6 Agoro Odiyan Street, Off Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Time: 12:30 to 6:30pm

See you there!
